Why is this game moving from Entertainment & Sports Arena to Capital One Arena?
Due to the unprecedented demand for this game, the Mystics worked with the WNBA League office and the City of D.C. to be able to relocate to this game to a larger arena to afford more people the opportunity to see this game in person.
Will other games be moving as well?
At this time we have not announced any additional game relocations. That said, we continue to monitor the demand for our games.
What do I need to know about Capital One Arena?
We recommend reviewing the Capital One Arena policies page, available at https://www.capitalonearena.com/arena-policies, before your visit to the Arena. Some policies may be different than those in place at Entertainment & Sports Arena.
I bought a ticket for the game at Entertainment & Sports Arena. Can I just show that at the door?
No. Tickets issued for the Entertainment & Sports Arena will not grant admission at Capital One Arena. However, depending on where you purchased your ticket, you may have been given an opportunity to relocate to Capital One Arena according to the procedures described below in these FAQs.
I bought a ticket for the game at Entertainment & Sports Arena. Does my ticket automatically transfer to Capital One Arena?
If you purchased directly from the Mystics box office (such as through Mystics Club 52 Membership, or Mystics Group Sales through a Mystics Sales Representative) your tickets were automatically relocated to Capital One Arena with no cancellation or refund, and no further action needed on your part.
If you purchased through Ticketmaster, either directly from WashMystics.com, or on the Ticketmaster Marketplace, your purchase was cancelled and refunded, and your seats can now be re-purchased and re-located to Capital One Arena at the original price. That relocation occurs in two steps: you should have first received a notification of a cancellation of your Entertainment & Sports Arena ticket, followed by a notification that a comparable Capital One Arena seat location is being individually offered to you to purchase at the original purchase price. You can confirm the location and finalize the purchase in your Ticketmaster Account or by following the link sent to you via email. Offers to re-purchase and re-locate to Capital One Arena must be redeemed by May 17, 2024. If you purchased through a third-party such as StubHub or Vivid Seats, your ticket does not automatically transfer. The original purchaser of that ticket, who purchased directly from the Mystics via Ticketmaster, has had their original ticket cancelled, and has been offered a relocation option at Capital One Arena, according to the procedures described in the above answer. That offer to re-purchase/re-locate will not automatically go to you if you purchased on a third-party marketplace such as StubHub or VividSeats. You will need to contact the third-party marketplace to discuss next steps. The Mystics are not responsible for ticket sales through third-party platforms, and do not determine the terms and conditions of any sale through a third-party platform, including whether you will be entitled to re-purchase tickets re-issued to the seller you purchased from.
Purchasing tickets through any source other than the Mystics or our official ticketing partner, Ticketmaster, is not recommended, and the buyer assumes all risk when purchasing from an unauthorized seller. The Washington Mystics are not responsible for invalid or counterfeit tickets purchased through non-authorized sellers.
What if I just want a refund for my original ESA ticket?
All tickets for the original June 7, 2024 game at Entertainment & Sports Arena have been cancelled, and refunds have been issued. If you do not wish to attend the game at Capital One Arena, simply do not accept the relocation offer extended to you in your Ticketmaster Account Manager account. After the May 17, 2024 deadline, the re-location tickets offered to you will go for sale to the public.
Can I purchase additional tickets?
Mystics Club 52 Members will have an opportunity to purchase additional tickets through an exclusive, Member-only window on the day additional tickets for the game at Capital One Arena are made available. The date of that sale has not yet been announced. Members will receive an email in advance of the on-sale date with details of their exclusive pre-sale window.
Do Mystics Club 52 Members get a discount on additional tickets?
Unfortunately, Members do not receive any discounts on additional ticket purchases.
Why is there a limit to the number of tickets I can purchase?
The Mystics want to ensure that as many fans as possible are able to attend the game. As a result, tickets are limited to at the time of purchase.
Are Suites available for purchase for this game?
A limited number of Capital One Arena Suites are available to rent for this game. Please contact the Mystics sales team at 877-DC-HOOP1 to assist you.
Are Hennessy Loft tickets available for purchase for this game?
A limited number of Hennessy Loft seats, accommodating groups of 4 or 6, with an all-inclusive ticket, are available. Please contact the Mystics sales team at 877-DC-HOOP1 to assist you.
I missed out on the on-sale ticket sales. Is there a way for me to still get tickets?
Tickets may still be available through Ticketmaster as Verified Resale tickets. We strongly encourage fans to only purchase Verified Resale Tickets from Ticketmaster to ensure that your tickets are 100% verified and issued in your name so they can’t be counterfeited. Always double-check your URL. When buying tickets, make sure you’re visiting ticketmaster.com, mystics.wnba.com or are using the official Ticketmaster mobile app.
What is a Verified Resale Ticket?
Verified Resale Tickets are tickets sold by fans and authenticated by Ticketmaster, giving you the ability to go to events you thought were sold out – while providing peace of mind that the tickets have been 100% verified by Ticketmaster.
How can I tell if my ticket is valid?
Official Mystics tickets are 100% digital and are powered by unique barcodes that refresh every 15 seconds to help prevent theft or copies, keeping your tickets safe and secure. (Screenshots or static tickets are not valid for entry.). Once a ticket has been transferred or sold, a new barcode is generated, and all previous copies of that ticket are no longer valid.
How do you protect yourself against ticket scammers?
Our partners at Ticketmaster offer the following advice to help protect yourself during the buying process:
- When possible, buy tickets from official sources. With any event, the official primary ticketer — like Ticketmaster — is the best place to buy tickets. For Mystics games, Ticketmaster is our official ticket partner and is the safest and most secure marketplace to buy Mystics tickets, including resale tickets.
- Always double-check your URL. When buying tickets, make sure you’re visiting ticketmaster.com, or are using the official Ticketmaster mobile app. Furthermore, beware of clicking through to sites from Google search results that may look like Ticketmaster — always make sure you’re purchasing tickets from Ticketmaster’s official website.
- Be careful when buying from individuals on social media or other unofficial platforms. If you choose to purchase tickets from individual sellers, social media, third-party online exchanges, auction sites or bulletin boards, use extreme caution.
- Finally, be wary of printed tickets, as scammers can distribute copies of the same ticket to multiple buyers. The Washington Mystics are a 100% digital ticketing team and we do not issue paper tickets. Washington Mystics digital tickets are also powered by unique barcodes that refresh every 15 seconds to help prevent theft or copies, keeping your tickets safe and secure. What happens if I have an invalid ticket?
All tickets are scanned before entrance to Capital One Arena to verify their validity. Invalid, duplicate and counterfeit tickets will not grant entrance into the Arena. If any of these tickets are discovered once inside of the facility, the ticket holder will be escorted from the Arena by event staff or law enforcement personnel.
Capital One Arena does not accept the picture of a ticket for valid entry into our events. Individuals attempting to use the picture of a ticket will be rejected at the gate and will not be allowed entrance into the venue.
There are no tickets left. How can I watch this game?
This game will be broadcast on ION television, with the broadcast beginning at 7:30 PM ET. Check your cable or streaming service for the location of ION on your network.
