The Washington Mystics’ seven-game winning streak came to an end on Tuesday night with a loss to the Las Vegas Aces. Washington continued to control the glass, out-rebounding Las Vegas 41-30 for its WNBA-leading 16th game with at least 40 rebounds this season. The Mystics also held a 42-28 advantage in the paint, continuing to find success inside.

Shakira Austin, the reigning WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week, led Washington with 20 points, eight rebounds, two steals, and a block. Austin extended her career-best streak of at least 15 points and five rebounds to 12 consecutive games, tying the longest single-season run in franchise history.

Kiki Iriafen finished with 15 points and 13 rebounds for her 14th double-double of the season and 30th of her career. At 22 years old, Iriafen became just the second player in WNBA history to record 30 point-rebound double-doubles before turning 23. Sonia Citron added 19 points and seven rebounds, recording her ninth game this season with at least 15 points and five boards.
