Game Recap: Mystics Fall to Sky in Chicago

The Washington Mystics dropped a road contest to the Chicago Sky on Tuesday night, falling 78-64 at Wintrust Arena.
Sonia Citron led the Mystics with 13 points while adding a career-high four steals. The rookie has now recorded 10+ points in six straight games and has 24 double-figure scoring efforts on the season, the third-most by a Mystics rookie in franchise history.
Kiki Iriafen contributed 10 points and a team-high six rebounds. She has now scored in double-figures in four consecutive games and continues to pace all WNBA rookies in games with 10+ points and 5+ rebounds (19).
Chicago, which entered the night on an eight-game losing streak, shot a season-high 54% (34-63) from the field and recorded 22 assists. The Sky were led by Elizabeth Williams (18 points, 10 rebounds) and Kamilla Cardoso (16 points, 13 rebounds), who tallied her seventh straight double-double.
Shakira Austin notched a career-high five steals in the effort, while Sug Sutton added five assists, her fifth game this season with 5+ assists.
As a team, Washington matched its season-high with 14 steals.
Washington will travel to Minnesota to face the Lynx on Friday, August 8, with tip-off at 7:30 PM ET.
