LEE-SEUL KANG AND KLARA LUNDQUIST TO ATTEND MYSTICS TRAINING CAMP

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Washington Mystics General Manager and Head Coach Mike Thibault announced today that guards Lee-Seul Kang and Klara Lundquist will attend this year’s training camp.

The 5-11 Kang, a member of the South Korean National Team, averaged 14.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. During South Korea’s participation in FIBA Women’s Asia Cup in October 2021, she averaged 10.7 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists in six games. Kang has played for KEB Hana Bank of the Women’s Korean Basketball League.

The 5-8 Lundquist is currently playing for VBW Arka Gdynia of the Polish league, averaging 5.1 points and 3.1 rebounds per game. She was named the 2021 Player of the Year in the Swedish League.

The 2022 WNBA season marks the 25th Anniversary for the Washington Mystics. Chartered in 1997, the Mystics are one of the first WNBA expansion franchises to be established and the longest tenured women’s professional sports team in Washington, D.C.
