The Washington Mystics hit another milestone on Saturday night, rallying in the fourth quarter to defeat the Los Angeles Sparks and secure their 20th win of the season. It marks Washington’s first 20-win season since 2022. Trailing 58-55 entering the fourth, the Mystics responded when it mattered, earning their WNBA-leading eighth fourth-quarter comeback of the season. Washington controlled the paint with 60 points inside, the second-most in franchise history, and dominated the glass with a 43-27 rebounding advantage.

Sonia Citron led the way with 21 points, six rebounds, a career-high-tying eight assists, and two steals, while connecting on four of her five attempts from beyond the arc. It marked the first 20-point, five-rebound, five-assist performance of her career.

Shakira Austin added 17 points and 11 rebounds for her 15th double-double of the season and reached a major milestone with her 1,000th career rebound. Austin also extended her franchise-record streak of at least 15 points and five rebounds to 14 consecutive games.

Kiki Iriafen delivered an efficient 19 points on 9-of-12 shooting to go with eight rebounds, two steals, and a block. Off the bench, Lauren Betts contributed eight points, five rebounds, and two blocks, while Cotie McMahon pulled down a career-high nine rebounds.
