The Washington Mystics closed the 2026 regular season in record-setting fashion Thursday night, defeating the Chicago Sky at Capital One Arena to secure a franchise-best 28th victory. Washington put up 101 points, marking its sixth 100-point game of the season and tying the franchise record set by the 2019 Championship team. The Mystics also finished the year the same way they played it—owning the glass. Washington out-rebounded Chicago 44-27, closing the regular season with a WNBA-record 1,659 rebounds and 40 games outrebounding its opponent, also a league record.

Sonia Citron led the way with 21 points, five rebounds, and five assists on an efficient 8-of-9 shooting night. Kiki Iriafen added 16 points, a game-high 15 rebounds, and two blocks for her 23rd double-double of the season—the most in a single season in Mystics history.

Michaela Onyenwere finished with 16 points and three made threes, while Georgia Amoore added 14 points. Off the bench, Cotie McMahon contributed 12 points on 3-of-4 shooting. The win also marked Head Coach Sydney Johnson’s 44th victory with Washington, bringing his career record as Mystics head coach to .500.
