The Washington Mystics earned a statement road win on Monday night, defeating the Golden State Valkyries to snap the WNBA's longest active winning streak at nine games and secure the franchise's first-ever victory over Golden State.

Washington set the tone with a balanced team effort, controlling the glass with a 35-23 rebounding advantage while moving the ball efficiently with 25 assists. The Mystics' dominance on the boards continued a season-long trend, as they lead the WNBA in games out-rebounding their opponent.

Kiki Iriafen paced all scorers with 23 points and 12 rebounds, recording her 11th double-double of the season. The All-Star forward continued her standout campaign with her fifth 20-point, 10-rebound performance of the year. Shakira Austin added another double-double with 15 points and a game-high 15 rebounds, marking her second consecutive game with at least 15 points and 15 rebounds. Austin also moved into eighth place on the Mystics' all-time rebounding list.

Sonia Citron contributed 17 points and six assists, while Georgia Amoore tied a career high with eight assists, helping orchestrate one of Washington's most complete offensive performances of the season. Off the bench, Lauren Betts made her presence felt defensively with a career-high four blocks in under 14 minutes, becoming the first rookie reserve in the WNBA this season to record four blocks in a game.

The victory marked Washington's first-ever win over Golden State and another signature result for a Mystics team that continues to find ways to win through defense, rebounding, and a balanced offensive attack.
