DELLE DONNE EARNS FOURTH EASTERN CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK RECOGNITION

Washington Mystics forward Elena Delle Donne was named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the fourth time this season. Delle Donne led the Mystics to a 3-0 record in games played the week of August 6 against the Phoenix Mercury, Seattle Storm, and Dallas Wings. This is the 16th Player of the Week recognition of her career.

In helping keep the Mystics 3-0 for the week, Delle Donne averaged 27.7 ppg, 5.7 rpg, and 2.3 apg. She led the Mystics to their second 100+ point game of the season in a 103-98 win against Phoenix where she scored 30 points and was a perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line. She followed that performance with another 30-point outing in Washington’s convincing 100-77 victory against the Storm. The Mystics closed out the week by defeating the Wings 93-80 with Delle Donne leading all players with 23 points. For the week, she shot 63% from the field, 57.1% from the 3-point line and 85% from the free throw line.
