Game Recap: Mystics vs Sparks


















The Washington Mystics unveiled their new Nike Rebel Edition uniforms on May 29, with Shakira Austin and Sonia Citron leading a strong offensive effort against the Los Angeles Sparks.
Austin posted a game-high 25 points and 10 rebounds for her fourth double-double of the season, shooting an efficient 8-of-10 from the field. Citron added 21 points and a career-high-tying eight assists while knocking down seven of her 10 shot attempts. Kiki Iriafen contributed 13 points and nine rebounds as the Mystics placed three players in double figures.
Washington moved the ball effectively throughout the night, recording a season-high 26 assists, while also controlling the defensive glass with 24 defensive rebounds. Austin, Citron, and Iriafen each shot 60 percent or better from the field on 10 or more attempts, marking just the fourth time in franchise history three Mystics players have achieved that feat in the same game.
Angela Dugalić provided a spark off the bench with six points, five rebounds, three steals, and a block as the Mystics continued to showcase the depth and versatility of their young roster.
