MYSTICS SIGN THERESA PLAISANCE

Washington, D.C. – Washington Mystics General Manager and Head Coach Mike Thibault announced today that the team has signed forward Theresa Plaisance.

“We are excited to welcome Theresa to the Mystics. She is a versatile post player who can play both inside and on the perimeter and particularly fits our style of play,” said Thibault. “She has spent the off season getting herself healthy and ready to contribute and will provide us the depth we need to compete for a championship.”

Plaisance was selected in the third round (27th overall) of the 2014 WNBA Draft by the Tulsa Shock. She spent five seasons with the Shock (now the Dallas Wings), and split the 2019 season with the Wings and Connecticut Sun. Plaisance was on the Sun team that faced the Mystics in the 2019 WNBA Finals.

A graduate of Louisiana State University, Plaisance has played in China and Turkey. She holds career averages of 4.2 points and 2.8 rebounds per game.
