The Washington Mystics came up short against the Portland Fire on Thursday, but held its fifth straight opponent under 80 points, the longest active streak in the WNBA, and matched a season high with 19 offensive rebounds. Shakira Austin led all scorers with 19 points while adding nine rebounds, four assists and two blocks.

The night also belonged to Sonia Citron, who became the youngest player in franchise history to reach 1,000 career points. She is just the fourth Mystics player to hit the milestone in 64 games or fewer, joining Elena Delle Donne, Nikki McCray and Chamique Holdsclaw.

The Mystics head to San Francisco for a Saturday matchup with the Golden State Valkyries.
