Mystics Head Home After Rough West Coast Trip

The short-handed Mystics ended their west coast trip 1-2. After a tough start in Seattle, they bounced back against Phoenix to put themselves at 1-1, but weren’t able to carry that momentum into Friday night’s game in Vegas. They went cold from beyond the arc (a mere 18% on 3-for-16), but at times still managed to get within 4 points, but could not get all the way over the hump.

The Mystics, now 5-2 and have fallen to 4th place, will return home on Sunday to take on the top-seeded Connecticut Sun. It will be a tough battle as they look to stay undefeated at home.

Concluding the light week, the Minnesota Lynx return to Capital One on Thursday for a 4:00PM game. In their last meeting, the Mystics won 90-78, with the Bench Mob scoring 58 of those points. Though some of the bench mob has found themselves in the starting line-up due to injuries, we will still look to them to step up.

Sunday vs. Connecticut (3 p.m., League Pass, NBC Sports Washington)

The Mystics will look to get back on the winning side of things and slow down the hot-handed Sun. Also on the line is to stay undefeated at home.

Thursday vs. Minnesota (4 p.m., League Pass, NBC Sports Washington)

There is no greater competition than a team looking for revenge. The Lynx are on a 3-game losing streak, one of which we gave to them to start the streak.
