The Mystics battled until the final buzzer but fell to the Seattle Storm, 97-85, in the first game of the back-to-back set. Sonia Citron led Washington with 16 points, five rebounds, and two steals while going 10-of-11 from the free throw line. Georgia Amoore added a career-high 13 points and six assists, while Shakira Austin and Kiki Iriafen each finished with 13 points of their own.
Angela Dugalić provided a spark off the bench with a career-high 13 points in under 12 minutes of action as Washington finished with a season-high five players in double figures. The Mystics also closed strong offensively, scoring 31 fourth-quarter points and continuing to push the pace with a season-best 12 fastbreak points.

Washington answered back in a big way, earning a 78-64 wire-to-wire win over Seattle in the second game of the series. The Mystics led by as many as 25 and held the Storm to a season-low 64 points behind another strong defensive performance.
Shakira Austin paced the Mystics with 18 points, a career-high-tying 13 rebounds, and a career-high-tying five assists for her third double-double of the season. Michaela Onyenwere added 14 points with three made threes, while Kiki Iriafen chipped in 13 points and nine rebounds.
Alicia Flórez made an impressive WNBA debut off the bench, recording nine points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals as the Mystics secured their largest win of the season.
