Game Recap: Mystics at Liberty

The Washington Mystics fell to the New York Liberty on Sunday afternoon, but not before turning in another strong defensive effort against one of the league’s top teams. Washington held New York to just 36 first-half points, matching one of the Liberty’s lowest first-half scoring outputs of the season, while limiting them to only five offensive rebounds.
Michaela Onyenwere continued her strong stretch of play, leading the Mystics with 17 points on an efficient 7-of-10 shooting performance. The forward has now scored 17 points in three consecutive games. Sonia Citron added 12 points, while Alicia Flórez contributed seven points and a game-high-tying six assists off the bench.
