Pax the Panda was born many years ago in the Smithsonian National Zoo. As a young cub, she would see all kinds of things from her den, but her favorite was a big information screen with facts about the other animals that would change throughout the day. At night, zoo security would change the display to watch TV in order to pass the time. Pax took an interest in the orange bouncy ball, as she had one in her den just like it. She would watch basketball every night over the summer and fell in love with the Mystics. Then on May 26th, 2006 the power went out at the zoo… Pax took this opportunity to sneak out with one thing in mind… The Mystics. She made her way to the arena for her first game and hasn’t looked back since.
