The Washington Mystics and Elena Delle Donne will return to her old stomping grounds at the University of Delaware to host the Indiana Fever on May 12 at 7:00 p.m. in a game presented by Delaware Lottery. Mystics and Blue Hens season ticket members will have the opportunity to purchase tickets on March 8 starting at 10 a.m. Tickets for the general public start at $25 and will go on sale on March 12 at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster and by visiting the box office at the Bob Carpenter Center, located on the University of Delaware campus, open Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

“I am so thrilled that I get to share my Mystics family with my Delaware family,” said Delle Donne. “I am sure that all of the Delaware faithful will show up as always and make the Bob feel like a playoff atmosphere. I cannot wait to see you all in May.”

Mystics Head Coach and General Manager Mike Thibault added, “We look forward to playing at the University of Delaware in front of their enthusiastic fans and I know that they will make our team feel right at home.”

Delle Donne captured the University of Delaware’s first-ever Olympic gold medal as a member of the USA Basketball Women’s National Team during the 2016 Olympic games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The Wilmington native earned All-American honors three times during her illustrious career with the Blue Hens. The 2015 WNBA Player of the Year and a four-time WNBA All-Star, Delle Donne scored 3,039 career points and led the Hens to the NCAA Sweet 16 in 2013.

“We are thrilled to have Elena return to the Bob,” said Chrissi Rawak, Director of Athletics and Recreation Services at The University of Delaware. “Elena and her family have a special place in the Blue Hen community and we’re excited to welcome her home as well as provide this unique opportunity for our fans to watch the Mystics compete live right here in Newark.”

In addition to Delaware Lottery serving as the presenting partner, Courtyard by Marriott Newark will also partner with the Mystics ahead of the preseason game against the Fever.
