Mystics look onward after tough loss at Home

The Mystics took a hard loss to the red-hot Atlanta Dream during the matinee game on Wednesday. The Dream, fresh off a victory over Phoenix, came in ready to play – putting up 106 points against poor defensive effort from the Mystics. Coach Thibault highlighted during his postgame conference that the defeat gave them plenty to improve upon as they move forward with their week.

Friday, July 13 (7:00 p.m., League Pass, NBCSW, The U Too) vs. Chicago Sky

Next up is another home game, Friday, July 13, against the Chicago Sky. The Mystics have already handed Chicago two losses this season with back-to-back games at the end of June. With Chicago currently 7-13, and Washington trying to bounce back from a difficult game, both teams are poised to bring the energy for Friday’s meeting.

Sunday, July 15 (3:00 p.m. League Pass, Fox Sports Southeast – Atlanta, Monumental) at Atlanta Dream

The Stics do not have to look too far for their chance at redemption against the Dream – the pair meets again this Sunday, July 15, in Atlanta. Washington had 0 blocked shots, 11 turnovers and only shot around 40% on both sides of the arch during Wednesday’s matchup against Atlanta (41.1% FG, 44% 3P); they’ll have to step it up if they want to take down the Dream in their house.
