Ivory Latta was the difference maker for Washington, finishing with 20 points, three rebounds, three assists and three steals. Also crucial in the victory was the Mystics’ ability to contain Tina Charles, holding the veteran to only six points on 3/17 shooting in a season where the three-time All-Star is averaging 18.8 points per game.

Three other ‘Stics posted double digits as well, again demonstrating the team’s depth with three starters still sidelined with injuries (Vaughn, Hartely, Ruffin-Pratt). Stef Dolson contributed 15 points and was also dominant on the defensive end with six rebounds. Kara Lawson helped Washington heat up with 13 points and rookie Ally Malott had 10 on 80% shooting.

The win puts the Mystics back in first place in the Eastern Conference at 3-1.

After two games in three days, the Mystics will get some needed rest before facing the Tulsa Shock Friday, June 19 at Verizon Center.
