Mystics Abroad: Overseas Play Underway

With the WNBA season officially over, it’s time to turn our attention to all of the players competing overseas.

The Mystics have players all around the world right now, from China to Australia. Here’s a list of who has already started playing:

October 16-23

Stefanie Dolson played four games for Sichuan in China, averaging 22.5 points and 14.5 rebounds. In those four games, she had three double-doubles, including a 20-20 performance on Saturday. Her full game log:

BA SuperCup Women Final, Emma Meesseman and UMMC Ekaterinburg beat the French ESBVA-LM. Meesseman had 11 points and seven rebounds in the win.

Meanwhile in Australia, Leilani Mitchell’s Sydney Uni Flames won both of their games in Round 3 of the season. Mitchell had 13 points, four rebounds, and five assists on Friday, and added 20 points and five rebounds on Saturday against Natasha Cloud (6p/3r) and the Townsville Fire. Cloud (3p/5r) also played Ally Malott (5p/4r) and the Dandenong Rangers on Friday, in which the Rangers came up on top 92-65.

In Belgium, Kahleah Copper had 22 points, three rebounds, and three steals on Saturday. Copper led all scorers in the 96-58 win.

Lastly, Kia Vaughn made her season debut this week with USK Praha. On Wednesday, Vaughn scored 13 points in a 126-55 rout, and added eight points and collected five rebounds in a 93-42 win on Saturday.
