Video Recap

Named as reserves to the Eastern Conference side, it was a great first All-Star appearance for two Mystics Saturday at Mohegan Sun Arena. Stefanie Dolson and Emma Meesseman contributed off the bench and made the most of their All-Star experience, although the East fell to the West with a final score of 117-112.

The duo gave the crowd in attendance a treat that Mystics’ fans often see when Dolson set Meesseman up with a smooth layup late in the second quarter. Another highlight-reel worthy moment came in the third quarter, as Shoni Schimmel sent a behind-the-back dish to Dolson, who dropped it in for two. Meesseman finished the game with 10 points, seven rebounds, one assist, a steal and a block. Dolson added four points, three boards, one assist and a steal as well.

All in all, it was a great first All-Star performance, and surely not the last for Dolson or Meesseman. The Mystics will resume regular season play  July 29th at 11:30 AM at Verizon Center.
