MYSTICS ADD FREE AGENTS TO ROSTER

Washington, D.C. - Washington Mystics General Manager and Head Coach Trudi Lacey announced today the return of forward Kerri Gardin and addition of post players Laura Harper and Ashley Walker to the team's roster.

Gardin averaged 1.5 points and 2.7 rebounds in 28 games for the Mystics last season. She started five games for Washington and finished the season ranked 9th in the WNBA in steals per 40 minutes (2.4). The Virginia Tech University alum started her professional career with the Connecticut Sun and has career averages of 3.2 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game.

Originally selected in the 2008 WNBA draft (10th overall) by the Sacramento Monarchs, forward/center Harper finished her rookie season ranked in the top 10 among rookies in field goal percentage (5th), rebounds (6th) and blocks per game (6th). Prior to the 2009 season, she was selected as the fifth pick in the dispersal draft by the San Antonio Silver Stars. A member of the University of Maryland's championship team, Harper is currently playing in Turkey for team Antakya and is averaging a double double with 13.6 points and 10.3 rebounds per game.

Forward/Center Walker has been on the roster of the Seattle Storm and Tulsa Shock. She has played in international leagues in Turkey and Israel. Walker is currently playing in Turkey for Ceyhan BLD and is averaging 17.7 points and 8.5 rebounds per game.
