Interview with Crystal Langhorne
2/16/12

WashingtonMystics.com was able to chat briefly today (evening in Moscow) with Crystal Langhorne. Below are Crystal's remarks on her new contract, the best fans in the WNBA and life overseas.

On signing a new contract with the Mystics:
"I'm excited about signing my new contract. It's a great honor for me. I'll be in DC for the next four years so I'm really excited about that and I'm ready to help our team return to the playoffs next year."

On Mystics' fans:
"We all know they're the best fans in the WNBA. We always appreciate their support and I know they have our back. We are excited for the upcoming season. I think there's going to be some changes and I'm excited. It's going to be a good season next year. We're going to turn some things around and get back to where we need to be."

On being in Moscow:
"It's not bad, I like Moscow. It's not a bad place. We win some we lose some but I'm having a good time here. It was really cold here last week but this week it's starting to warm up even though it's still snowing."

On keeping in touch with Mystics teammates:
"Oh yea, we talk a lot. I talked to Jasmine (Thomas) yesterday. I talked to Mo (Monique Currie) here and there and I talk to other people too. Everyone is good, everyone is just overseas now but I think we're all excited to get back to work."
